Interior Design

We work with homeowners to purchase and place furnishings that reflect the owners’ personality and needs.  We design for today, but also for tomorrow, as needs constantly evolve.

We design spaces to be livable and sleek, adaptable and comfortable, whether you prefer a modern, transitional or an eclectic aesthetic. We have expertise in historic preservation as well, so we are familiar with architectural styles and how to reuse/adapt and restore detail so they come alive again.

We can also provide e-design services to help you visualize your space as you are considering undertaking a renovation or buying a new home and would like to see how it would look. We can also assist with sourcing that perfect sofa or workspace.

healthy living, Energy Efficiency and Conservation

We avoid materials that off-gas (that nasty odor that emanates from paints, cabinetry or fabrics), and seek natural materials and energy efficient appliances..  We work with technicians to test ventilation and airflow to ensure that air conditioning and heating systems create comfortable and healthy living environments.

•  Lighting is designed so that light levels are appropriate to the task, are energy efficient and attractive.

•  Water is tested to ensure lead and other toxins are filtered out.

We will also review plans and ensure that energy efficient equipment is specified and installed correctly, that building shell and pipes are properly insulated and ducts are sealed to ensure that air does not flow from one apartment to another and outside air infiltration is kept to a minimum.

We are YOUR advocate, at all times. YOUR priorities and tastes are key, and we work tirelessly to ensure that your tastes, budget and priorities are honored. To that end, we work with architects, engineers, contractors and landscape designers to ensure that work is done properly, on-time and on-budget. 

Communication is key in this process, as is organization and planning.  We do not replace any of these professionals, but we play a role in coordinating, communicating and smoothing the construction process.
